What we believe, here at The Good News Radio.

We Believe:

  • The inspired Word of God (Scripture) is the authority for instruction, doctrine, living and church practice 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 2:13; Heb. 4:12.

  • The eternal God is manifested in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - all having the same attributes and perfection and worth of the same honour, equal in deity and consistent in the purpose though differing in offices Mat. 28: 10 - 20; Phil. 2:5-6; acts 5:3-4, Rev. 1:4-8.

  • For our salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ became incarnate (human), was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, died as a substitute for errant humans, was buried, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.  He will return as 1) Judge (of the living and the dead) and eventual Ruler of the universe Jn.1:14; Mat. 1:18, 20, 23.

  • The Holy Spirit convicts persons of sin, righteousnes and judgement and leads them to God.  The Spirit indwells, seals, equips and fills believers for living and service Jn. 16:8-11; Gal. 5-22-23, 25; Jn. 14, 16-17;  Eph. 1:13-14.

  • Human beings created by, and in the image of, God fell under the judgement of God through sin (exercising self will), and became spiritually dead or alienated (separated) from God.  In order to be made just by God, human beings must seek pardon and turn from waywardness and serve the Lord Gen. 1:26; 3:1-19; Rom. 3:20, 23-25; 1 Jn. 1:8-9.

  • The death of Christ is the all-sufficient (final and complete) sacrifice for sin.  God offers salvation to all through Jesus Christ, wholly by faith and apart from our work Eph. 2:7-8; Heb. 10:12.

  • There is one Church, the Body of Christ, with Christ Himself being its Head Rom. 12:5; Col. 1:18

  • Because of sin, human beings will die; but they will not simply expire and cease to exist.  Note that natural death applies to the body and not the spirit and soul which continue beyond he death of the body.  Hence, we are responsible to God in life and accountable to Him in life and even after physical death Rom. 14:7-12; Rev. 20:11-15

  • Eternal bliss (heaven) awaits those, who by faith accept God's pardon for sin and offer of salvation jn. 3:16, Rom. 6:23b, while eternal separation from God (death) awaits those who reject God's pardon and salvation, Jn. 3:17; Rev. 20:15.
